what would I have to do to download an audio book onto a memory stick to be played through a boom box?

I have been getting very good advice on the use of a boom box for a blind person. I need to download audio books onto a memory stick and plug it into this thing. I download books onto my ipod from itunes and audible.co.uk – would I be able to download books in the same way and right click ‘send to’ and put them on a memory stick that way?

There are two problems here… the first is most content you download for iPods are DRM protected and will not work on anything but your iPod. Problem two…. even if you found unprotected content that you can copy to a flash drive, you would need to buy a boom box that can play audio from a flash drive…. I haven’t tried to buy a boom box in the past decade, so i don’t know if they even come with a flash drive capability.
